noble and anonymous soul in the 1980`s in the form
of PCX files. They are copies of copyright expired
advertising art of the late 1920`s and early 1930`s.
Tara Maginnis, Ph.D. of The University of Alaska

An interesting site that does some mathematical fancy
footwork and number crunching. There is a large Polynomial equation
solver Primordial prime number generator [not operational at this
time] and a random maze generator of varying calibers that can solve
the mazes it creates, with maze chambers that can be square or
hexagonal, allows the user to rotate and configure the mazes. Also a
modometer which can calculate things like the total distance your
mouse has traveled and keeps a record of number of left and right
mouse clicks and such, though why ever one would want to know this
is somewhat of a mystery to me... a little bit of computational
idiocy maybe. But there is useful stuff on the site.

Ascii Character Map
ASCII, the
American Standard Code for Information Interchange is a standard
seven-bit code finalised in 1968. For all versions of ASCII code the
first 128 slots - 0 to 127 - are identical. The extended ASCII, codes 128
to 255, vary. A little known feature of Windows is that all the ASCII
symbols may be generated by holding down the Alt key and entering the
ASCII number on the number pad. It must be on the number pad, not on the
number line above the typewriter keyboard. Thus, for example, Alt+156
generates the £ symbol. Alt+157 the ¥, Alt+14 the ö, Alt+230 the µ.
You`ll find the number associated with the symbol on the Keyboard map.
There`s a Windows map for application developers - who will be
interested in control characters as well as special characters. I

translation program in Fortran for the IBM 370. However, it

Baby Einstein
With all the toys and products available for children today, one
has to be quite wise in choosing material that will be valuable
input for children and not just another expensive gizmo to be
broken in seconds. I found in this collection of products,
